‘The most vulnerable people in our society’: Dáil hears medical card horror stories

‘The most vulnerable people in our society’: Dáil hears medical card horror stories

The medical card in Ireland is given to those with extensive medical needs for free care, or those whose income falls below a certain level. A FULL medical card covers GP visit, eye doctors, some dental care, cover for medication, physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy...etc

A GP card only lets you see a GP free.  All else you have to pay for.

Seeing a GP costs from 55euro to 75e depends where you live or GP.

UK Establishment Closes Ranks as Organised Child Sex Abuse Network Leads Back to No. 10 | Scriptonite Daily

Not a disability story per se but close in that children in children's homes were/are vulnerable.  You have to read this,  W are complicit if we are silent.  No doubt about it.  Power must be dismantled when it is corrupt. This is more than corrupt.  It is evil.

Shocked but not entirely surprised Ray Wyre is 'on the list'.

It's deja vu on charity chiefs' big bucks - Independent.ie

It's deja vu on charity chiefs' big bucks - Independent.ie

This is a MUST read to understand why disabled people feel aggrieved and do not like charities to provide that which the STATE ought to provide because we are CITIZENS too!  But we are NOT seen as citizens.  We are seen as scroungers, useless and expensive.  As if we've nothing to offer so don't give them anything, not even a decent wheelchair.
